John Bollins, DO
General Surgeon
John Bollins, DO, is a general surgeon and the owner of Advanced Surgical Associates of Northern Minnesota in Hibbing, Duluth, and Ely, Minnesota. Dr. Bollins earned his medical degree and completed his surgical residency at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens and Columbus, Ohio. He then completed his surgical critical care fellowship at The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Bollins has served as a trauma critical care surgeon and general surgeon at Duluth hospitals since 2007. During that time, he served as pediatric trauma director and chief of general surgery. He focuses on excelling both in traditional and robotic surgery and has accumulated many years of robotic experience. If you hope to have surgery with the best possible outcome, Dr. Bollins is here to help. Ann Nollet, CSFA
Certified Surgical First Assistant & Operations Manager
Ann Nollet, CSFA, is a certified surgical first assistant and operations manager at Advanced Surgical Associates of Northern Minnesota in Hibbing, Duluth, and Ely, Minnesota. Ann earned her degree in surgical technology at Lake Superior College in Duluth, Minnesota. She later attended Meridian Institute of Surgical Assisting in Nashville, Tennessee, earning her certificate in surgical assisting.
Ann has many years of operating room experience, including robotic surgery, where she also functioned as a robotic surgery coordinator at a Duluth hospital. She and the Advanced Surgical Associates of Northern Minnesota team are experts in helping people needing surgical care. Offering personalized assistance, quick recovery, and easy access to care, Ann and the team are equipped to improve their patient’s health.
Outside of work, Ann loves traveling to new places. She loves warm weather and enjoys camping, boating/fishing, gardening, and spending time with friends and family.
